Ashwell is a picturesque
village in north Hertfordshire some 45 miles from the centre of
London and a few miles from the A1(M) motorway. It nestles on the
chalk scarp on the spring line. The springs, to be found in the

The
Jester Hotel
Built in the early 1800’s, originally named ‘The Railway’
then ‘Travellers Rest’ drinking tavern has been privately
run for the last 15 years by Pam and Den Mildenhall-Clarke who have
made it into the locally renowned, award winning eatery it is today.
