What can you do?

Start by talking to someone you trust, who can you trust? There are many organisations you can contact, these include:

Woman's Aid - a safe refuge for women and children fleeing abuse or simply needing advice.

Citizen's Advice Bureau - advise on most topics, including money problems.

Police - can offer advice and support whether or not you wish to pursue court action.

Domestic Violence Is A Crime

If you go to the Police, their first priority will be to protect you and/or any children from further attack.

Will I have to go to Court?

Not necessarily, further advice is available to help you.
